We were standing in the window, for years. Even the proud candles we were wearing on top of our heads bowed down to the sun. Nobody cared. They didn't even take the dust off of our beautifully carved bodies. One day I said to my lady. 'Mark my words, they have forgotten us, we will rot away here until there is nothing left to see.' 'Don't worry,' my sweet lady replied, 'I am sure one time we will shine our bright lights again.' I looked at her in disbelieve, 'Yeah right.'
The days past and it caught me by complete surprise, we were both lifted up. Cleaned and painted! For god sake, painted. Why?? What is wrong with my beautiful dark brown carved body.... I turned to see my sweet lady and there she was. How beautiful she looked, how happy! She was shining bright, so bright. A single tear rolled down. I had to admit, it was good. Lets hope someone lights us up soon and ends the suffering of uselessness. Small note, i seriously don't understand why they left these sun melted candles on top of our heads, please feel free to replace them. Thank you.
